What Else Could I Do??

When one wakes up and sees this.....
...what is one to do????
Why, make these...of course!!

Blueberry Scones
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/3 cup sugar
pinch of salt - about 1/2 teaspoon
5 tablespoons cold, unsalted butter
freshly grated nutmeg
about 1/2 cup milk or buttermilk
about 1/2 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut in butter with fork until pieces are about the size of peas. Stir in nutmeg. Add half of the milk, stir slightly and then add the rest as needed. You want a dough that is ever so slightly moist, but not like batter. (If dough is too sticky, add some more flour - a tablespoon at a time) Gently stir in blueberries until just combined. Turn dough out onto floured surface and push together gently to form an 8-inch circle that will be about 1-inch high. Do not knead the dough - the less you handle it, the lighter your scones will be. If you play around with it like it's play-dough, you'll be baking bricks in your oven!
Place dough onto greased baking sheet. With a big, sharp knife, cut the dough circle into fourths and then eighths - no need to separate the pieces. Sprinkle top generously with sugar. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Scones are done when they are lightly brown and gently 'talk' to you (yes, you hold the tray up to your ear and 'listen' to the dough...you'll hear little bubbly, crackly sounds!) and a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly. Serve warm with soft butter.
Prepare to be hugged and kissed for your efforts.
