Meant To Be

What you're looking at is a dream - come true!! My dear girl, M, has been saving her money for 1 1/2 years in order to buy a car. She's worked at restaurants and a dental office to save her pennies for this dream. She's ridden her bike to work in 112 degree summer weather - I kid you not! She's saved her money and been focused on her dream...and today it came true!

A friend at work connected us up with her other friend who was selling this little gem. And as only the universe can do, the selling price was exactly the amount dear girl had in her account! We went over yesterday to look at it and fell in love immediately. Today we returned with the check and dear girl now is the proud owner of her very first car! Off she is tonight to visit friends and savor this next step of independence! Way to go, dear daughter... enjoy the ride!!! You've truly earned it!! : ))

I applaud your daughter's self-discipline...I wish her many hours of safe driving fun in her new car...if you ever hear the words "Tokyo drift" when you're driving with her...brace yourself.

Congratulations! She looks extra fantastic standing next to that goal of hers...there's nothing quite like the feeling of working so hard for something and dreaming and watching your dream come to life!

Where has my little 3 year old girl, with major major blond bed-head hair go?
The little girl that talked of bunnies, kittens, and magic things...
It has been hard to hear of M's boyfriends, dances, parties with friends, and looking and applying to colleges...
To watch "M" become this truly beautiful and special heart to us all...
Of course there will be more boyfriends, more dances to attend, graduation from college...a wedding dress that will have to be chosen...
How proud we all are of the commitment that M has to what she wants in her life...some of us are still trying to figure it all out...
I so enjoy my M and all that she brings to me!
I miss my little 3 year old at times...
May this new adventure in adulthood bring many fun road trips ahead...may M stay safe and respect what lies ahead...
Remember M to always look both ways!
