The 'building' of things

Did you see them today?

Oh yeah... they were there...

cummulonimbus clouds...

thunder heads...

monsoon bearers....

oh yeah... here they come...

building...right on time!

awesome!

Well, it's been a very emotional week. I am fighting through guilt...the guilt of buying some needed items for the house. For buying some 'non necessities'. For going on vacation. For taking a trip. For leaving everything behind for a few days. I'm taking a seperate suitcase for my guilt and emotional baggage alone!! (It's the flowered one.. you like?? )

My son, who usually doesn't get to bed until 2 a.m. is picking me up in the morning at 5 A.M. !! He seems very happy to do this...to drive his mother to the airport and put her butt on a plane heading north. Hmmmmm....

My daughter, Dear M, is totally fine with me going, as well. Happily encourages it! Not one sniffle or forlorn look eminates from her. Hmmmm......

My friends are saying go, goo, GOOOOO!!!!

So I will. I will take another leap of faith and another step towards rebuilding.

Pass the peanuts.

I hope you have a wonderful time on your well deserved vacation. You are going to have a fantastic time, I know it. Enjoy every moment of it. Don't feel guilty, you have no reason to, you deserve this more than anyone I know. It has been a long, tough year and a half for you....indulge!

just happened to come across your blog. tell me one thing- do all girls start collecting suitcases of guilt as they grow older. do they come as birthday gifts to us?
i wonder sometimes if its part of being a women. and how scary it is-if it is.
but then lets look at it from a different perpective-
if it wasnt for our guilt and the way we deal with it, then who would look after this insane world.
but "take a break", thats what a vacation is meant for. i hope ur "guilt" suitcase gets lost on the way.
good luck.
oh, and i guess i'll pick up " a thousand splendid suns" as my next read.
thank u.
